Bio
Proficient project engineer with almost 10 years of experience driving various power projects to completion, specializing in Energy Infrastructure construction projects. He has a demonstrated track record in project management, design coordination, procurement, logistics, and construction. His experience was gained working for various companies as a senior project manager, project engineer, and team leader in research centers. Over the years, his noteworthy achievements have been recognized when he and his team published a paper on the Construction time of Power plants in 2021 in Energies, a scientific journal; he delivered the research results at TIERF at an international conference in Alexandria Bay. Amongst his achievements, Herve completed a 2×10 MVA Rakarara substation in Rwanda and a 2×40 MVA Selenkei substation in Eldoret, Kenya.
As an entrepreneur, he has been involved in several commercial start-up ventures, including ones focused on the sustainable development of renewable energy and the agriculture sector aimed at developing technological solutions applicable to the African continent. He is also involved in exporting organic non-perishable agricultural goods, and Real Estate development focused on green building design. Herve is obtaining a Master’s in Business Administration, majoring in organizational leadership and operation management from the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University in Washington, DC, through the JWMI International Scholarship. Herve is a licensed engineer-in-training with the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Electromechanical in sustainable and renewable energy from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, through a Deans’ Honours List and Renewable Albertan Scholarship.
In 2021, Herve and his partners started Meriki Consulting Ltd based in Canada. The consulting firm aimed to provide Canadian expertise on the African continent, focusing on providing services in project management and technical expertise in energy. Over time, the firm opened a Rwanda branch and expanded its services through talent acquisitions and partnerships in the sector of Corporate services, transportation logistics management, and corporate legal services.
