Bio
Lina is the Managing Partner and Group Chief Executive of RSM Eastern Africa, based in Tanzania. She formed the firm in 2007 to provide Audit & Assurance, Tax and Outsourcing services to clients across Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda and internationally. She has over 25+ years of accountancy experience. Before setting up the practice, Lina progressed from intern to Senior Manager at PwC over 14 years, including two years in the UK. Current service line skills and experience Lina has expertise in audit & assurance, tax, risk advisory, outsourcing and company secretarial services. She specialises in audits, local taxation and outsourcing, including payroll and tax compliance. Moreover, she has extensive experience in direct and indirect taxation in Tanzania and knowledge of transfer pricing. She has prepared accountants’ reports for inclusion in prospectuses of significant companies issuing shares and bonds to the public. She has provided tax advisory and agency services, including tax planning, filing statutory tax returns, carrying out tax health checks & advising on tax compliance, handling tax audits and investigations. Lina has also managed complex tax planning and restructuring assignments.
